Assessment Procedures

As from September 2015, we are no longer using levels to assess children’s learning and understanding. This year, we will be assessing children’s achievement through a simplistic approach. After every area of learning, children will be assessed as to whether they are ‘developing’, ‘secure’, or ‘enhancing’ within that particular area. At the end of the year, reports will include an overall picture of the child’s achievement as to whether they are ‘developing’, ‘secure’ or ‘enhancing’ within the different subjects. It is the expectation that 70% of children will be ‘secure’ in their year group’s expectations by the end of the year.
